Flinders SA RTH

Flinders SA Regional Training Hub

The Flinders SA Regional Training Hub supports medical students, junior doctors, and supervisors across the Flinders University Rural and Remote Health footprint in South Australia. Formerly known as the Limestone Coast Regional Training Hub, our expanded scope now includes all Flinders Rural Clinical School sites across the state: Mount Gambier, Barossa Valley, Riverland, Victor Harbor, and Murray Bridge.

Working closely with local health networks, general practices, hospitals, and community partners, we aim to strengthen rural medical training pathways by:

  • Supporting students and doctors to train, work, and remain in regional South Australia.
  • Assisting with accreditation and development of new rural training positions.
  • Expanding supervision capacity and mentoring opportunities.
  • Promoting wellbeing and career development for doctors in training.

Our team is committed to building sustainable, locally supported medical training pathways that benefit rural communities and contribute to the future health workforce of South Australia.
