  • Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may apply for non-core training

Entry

  • Minimum PGY1+
  • 6 months supervised experience in an accredited Intensive Care Unit within the last 3 years

Training

42 months Core Training:

  • 6 months Foundation Training prior to selection
  • 24 months Core Training
  • 12 months Transition Year

 

30 months Additional Required Training:

  • 12 months Anaesthesia
  • 12 months Medicine
  • 6 months Elective)

Other

  • 3 months rural exposure (in any discipline)
  • 3-12 months paediatric exposure
  • Adequate experience in cardiothoracic surgery intensive care, neurological/ neurosurgery intensive care and trauma intensive care
