  • 4 years full-time Advanced Training

Entry

  • PGY3+
  • Two full years postgraduate supervised training in general medical and surgical areas
  • Must be appointed to an appropriate Advanced Training position

Training

48 months certified training consisting of:

  • 36 months Core Training in accredited training settings
  • 12 months Non-core training in other disciplines or in research

Other

  • Four External Training Modules: Research, Clinical Neuropsychology, Health Services Administration and Evaluation, Behavioural Sciences
  • FIM™ (Functional Independence Measure) training course
  • Prosthetics and Orthotics courses (highly recommended)
  • Trainees are strongly encouraged to gain experience in more than one hospital unit or training setting
